Recurring inspections: Intervals tab

The Intervals tab allows you to view the history of the inspection intervals for this recurring inspection. You can create new inspection intervals, cancel recurring inspections, and view all inspection intervals associated with the recurring inspection. *Note: You may also create a new inspection interval through the Recurring Inspection Process Job.

Creating an inspection interval

There may be situations where an inspection interval needs to be created outside of the recurring inspection process job. This can be done through the Intervals tab.

  1. Click Create Inspection Interval at the bottom of the screen.
  2. The page will refresh and display the Main tab of the newly created recurring inspection interval. The recurring inspection tabs will display the requirements needed to close the inspection interval.

 

Canceling a recurring inspection

If a recurring inspection interval is still in the Pending process state, it can be canceled. If you need to cancel the recurring inspection interval you are currently working on, navigate to the Main tab.

  1. Click the inspection interval that needs to be canceled. This will open the interval in a new window and display the Main tab.
  2. Click Cancel Recurring Inspection at the bottom of the window that displays.
  3. The Status will update to the default for the Canceled state configured for the recurring inspection type.
  4. Select a Note Type and Note Code. *Note: The Note Code drop-down menu will not populate until a Note Type has been selected.
  5. The Text field will auto-populate with a description of the cancellation. Adjust this as needed.
  6. Click Cancel Case.
  7. The page will refresh and display the Main tab of the canceled recurring inspection interval.

 

Reinstating a recurring inspection

If an inspection interval has been canceled or closed, you can reinstate the recurring inspection in order to continue processing the interval.

  1. If the current interval you are viewing has been canceled or closed, click Reinstate Recurring Inspection at the bottom of the page.
    1. Select the Status of the reinstated recurring inspection interval in the drop-down menu.
    2. Click Reinstate.
    3. The view will update to show the Main tab of the reinstated recurring inspection.
  2. If you need to reinstate a different interval of this recurring inspection, click the interval on the Intervals tab to display the record in a new window.
    1. Click Reinstate Recurring Inspection at the bottom of the window.
    2. Select the Status of the reinstated recurring inspection in the drop-down menu.
    3. Click Reinstate.
    4. The window will update to show the Main tab of the reinstated recurring inspection. You can exit out of this window to return to the original interval of the recurring inspection.

 

 

Deleting a recurring inspection interval

You can delete recurring inspection intervals if they are in the Pending state and fees have not been paid. *Note: You cannot delete the initial interval.

  1. Click on the Intervals tab from the recurring inspection.

  2. Click Delete Current Interval.

  3. In the window that appears, click Yes.

 

Viewing historical inspections

You can see an overview of all intervals associated with this recurring inspection from this tab.

  1. Click View All Historical Inspections at the bottom of the page.
  2. A window will display that lists out each inspection associated with this recurring inspection as well as relevant information including the Inspector, the Inspection Date, and the Inspection Status.
  3. Click Close to return to the recurring inspection.
