Recurring inspections: Parcels tab

The Parcels tab allows you to view any parcels of land associated with the recurring inspection account.

Adding an existing parcel

A parcel may already be associated with this recurring inspection if it was included when the recurring inspection account was initially created. However, you can associate additional parcels if necessary.

  1. Click the Add button.
  2. Begin typing or click the magnifying glass icon () to select a Parcel from the search list.
  3. You will see a summary of the parcel's details in the selected record section at the bottom of the page. *Note: The selected parcel appears with a shaded background.
  4. If the recurring inspection has multiple parcels, select which parcel in the list should be designated as the Primary parcel.
    1. If the Primary Parcel is changed, a Copy Parcel Address window will display.
    2. Select to Keep Current Site Address or to Copy Parcel Address, then click OK.
  5. Click Save.

Adding a new parcel

Before creating a new parcel, search the existing parcel list to ensure they have not already been added to SmartGov. Utilize the wildcard search feature to help you thoroughly search the parcel list.

  1. Click the Add button.
  2. Click the magnifying glass icon () on the newly created row.
  3. Click the Create New button.
  4. Fill out the required fields and any additional information in the New Parcel window, and click Create.
  5. The newly created parcel will appear on the Parcels tab. You will see a summary of the parcel's details in the Selected Record section at the bottom of the page.
  6. Click Save.

Managing parcels

After a parcel has been added to a recurring inspection interval, you can manage the parcel from the Parcels tab.

  • Editing a Parcel: Click the information icon () next to the parcel record to view or make any changes to the parcel's information.
  • Adding a Note: Click the sticky note icon (). These notes can include links and attachments such as documents, images, or spreadsheets.
  • Deleting a Parcel: Click the trash can icon () next to the parcel record. This will remove the association between the parcel and the recurring inspection, but does not delete the parcel from SmartGov.
  • Click Save at the bottom of the page after performing any of these actions.
