Permitting custom attributes

Custom Attributes are jurisdiction defined fields that will display on the Details tab of a permit and allow you to capture a wide variety of data types. A Custom Attribute can be tied to a fee and configured as a required field in order to issue a permit.

Adding a custom attribute

  1. Click on Administration in the navigation menu, then select Permitting Setup.
  2. Click Custom Attributes.
  3. Click Create.
  4. Enter a Name and a Description. *Note: The Name will display on the permit in SmartGov while the Description will display on the Citizen Portal.
  5. Select an appropriate Type.
  1. Once all custom attribute information has been entered, click Save.
  2. Repeat this process to add any additional custom attributes.
