Work Orders Can Now Be Created From Linked GIS Assets

• New! Imported GIS features that have been synced to Assets in your account will now allow you to create an Asset based work order directly from the GIS feature detail screen in the Asset Essentials Mobile App. Each selected layer that includes at least one linked Asset will now have a chain link icon () next to the layer name on the My Selections screen.

ArcGIS Online Supported on the Mobile App

• New! If ArcGIS Online is configured through the Asset Essentials web portal, users will be able to access their maps and GIS features through the Asset Essentials Mobile App.

Asset Essentials Mobile App: Esri Map Address Enhancements

• You can now create a work order at a specific location by searching for an address!

• When creating a work order from the map or the main app menu, entering an address will automatically move the work order to the address location on the map.
• When editing an existing work order from the map or the work order form, updating the address will now give you the option to update the coordinates of the work order.
• If a work order is moved on the Esri map, a prompt will ask if you would like to update the address of the work order.

Work Order Column Chooser Enhancement

New! The Work Order Column Chooser is now better organized and easier to manage. Work order fields and global custom fields will now be bundled together under the new Work Order Fields grouping. Work Categories with specific custom fields will appear as groupings in the Column Chooser, and if the Work Category is Site-specific, the Site name will appear in parentheses next to the Work Category name. Check the box next to the columns you would like included in the summary view and click Apply.

Declining Projects Enhancement

• When declining a project, the decline reason will now appear in the project details next to the Project Status field.

Esri Map Enhancements

• When accessing the Esri map from the web, the results panel will be hidden by default allowing for more screen space for your map. Simply click a work order or GIS feature to pop-out the results panel.
• Switching between Work Orders, GIS Features, and Addressing is now easier with the new Map Mode drop-down found right next to the Filter button.
• You can now easily select multiple GIS Features with the Wand tool ().
• Now when viewing your GIS Features in the results panel, linked and unlinked layers will clearly be separated. To see additional GIS information, click on a GIS Feature card in the results panel. Additionally, you can now easily zoom to the GIS Feature or create a work order right from the GIS Feature card.
• The Create Work Order button () and Refresh Map button () will now appear on the right side of the interface to increase screen space for your map.

Connector Tool

• The following fields have been added to the PO Line Item table: CreatedBy, CreatedOn, LastModifiedBy, and LastModifiedOn. *Note: Because these fields are system generated they cannot be modified by the Connector Tool, however they can be used to filter exports and imports.
• You now have the ability to setup the Connector Tool to send an email if an error occurs while running a scheduled job. *Note:  This feature requires you to use your organization's own SMTP email server to send the email notifications. Contact your IT department for your SMTP server details.

Enter Labor right on the Work Order Form

New! Now adding Labor Entries is easier than ever! You can add, edit, and delete them right from the Labor Entries section on the work order form. Simply click the New button in the Labor Entries section to open a pop-up window where you can enter your time. New! Enjoy more freedom to utilize documents and images in Asset Essentials with an increase in storage for your account. You now have access to 20 GB of storage, increased from 200 MB.

Global Admin Default Site Assignment

New! In Asset Essentials Enterprise, Global Administrators can now choose to be assigned a default site. This will update their views throughout the program to be filtered by that site. The Global Admin will still be able to view data across all sites if needed.

Two New Fields for Categorizing, Organizing, and Reporting on Work Orders

The old WO Type field has been renamed to Work Category and a brand new field of Work Type has been added to help you organize and report on your work orders to better align with industry standards. Think of the new Work Type field as "why" the work is being performed and the Work Category field acts as a sub-type of work requests. The Work Category field can still be linked in a hierarchy with the Problem field to narrow down the available selections on the form.
