Asset Essentials no longer supports Internet Explorer

At Brightly, our top priority is to ensure that you and your teams can own your operations. We know that Asset Essentials is a key tool that ensures you can operate efficiently. To prepare for Microsoft discontinuing support for Internet Explorer later this year, we have ended our support of Internet Explorer within Asset Essentials as of March 31, 2022.

Why we have ended support for IE within Asset Essentials

  • Microsoft is ending support for Internet Explorer later this year.

  • Internet Explorer does not meet modern web development standards.

  • Many development tools, frameworks, and libraries have already ended support for Internet Explorer.

  • This enables us to develop applications in a faster and more easily maintainable way with modern tooling.

  • With the pending total end of support for Internet Explorer, it will become vulnerable to security threats for anyone still using it.

What this means for you

  • If you are using Internet Explorer for Asset Essentials you will need to switch to another browser that is supported (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari) by March 31st, 2022. If you log in using Internet Explorer after this date we cannot guarantee Asset Essentials will function properly.

  • Once you have made the switch, you will have fewer security vulnerabilities.

  • We can focus on bringing you increased levels of quality for secure, modern browsers.
