Place Primary Use Auto-Group

The Place Primary Use Auto-Group is automatically generated based on the "primary use" that you choose for each building. This provides an easy and automatic list of buildings that are "peers" because they have similar uses. This is a very powerful tool in comparing building performance.

Buildings will not appear in the Cost/Area, Use/Area or Demand/Area charts if no floor area has been entered for the building (Floor Area tab in Building Properties).

Benchmarking charts provide a very easy way to find the buildings that are under performing so that your energy management efforts can focus on where the greatest savings may be found.

The Use/Area and Cost/Area charts are often referred to as Energy Efficiency Index or Energy Utilization Index.

Primary Use is set from Buildings & Meters. Highlight a building, then click on the pencil icon at lower left to edit Building Properties.
