Running an Audit Group

There are two ways to run audit groups in UtilityTrac Plus:

Running Audit Groups from the Audit Groups folder

There are two advantages to running audits in this manner:

  • Multiple audit groups can be run simultaneously.
  • The chosen filter settings will pre-empt any previously-saved filter settings for the individual audit groups selected, making it convenient to apply a single set of filter variables quickly for a number of audits/audit groups.

*Note: Running audits in this manner does not affect saved filter settings for individual audit groups. It simply provides a convenient way to choose different filter settings for a single instance of the audit.

To run audits from the Audit Groups root folder:

  • Click the top-level Audit Groups folder in Bill Processing. This will display a list of all existing audit groups. Multiple audit groups can be run simultaneously by clicking the checkbox to the left of each audit group name.

  • After the groups have been selected, click the Run Selected Audit Group(s) button. Or click the Select Action drop-down arrow and select Run Selected Audit Group(s) from the menu options. The Run Selected Audit Groups Wizard will open, permitting the user to select desired filters to be applied to all audit groups.
  • Revise the filter list as necessary. When done, click Continue. Bills fitting the filter parameters will be audited. When the audits are complete, results will be posted to the Bills With Problem Flags folder.
  • Click Finish to close the Run Selected Audit Groups Wizard.

Running Audit Groups from the user's Audit Group subfolder

There are certain considerations in running audits in this manner:

  • Only the selected audit group can be run.
  • Filter settings changes will be saved for all future iterations of the audit in this audit group.

To run audits from an individual audit group:

  • Click to highlight the desired audit group from list in the Audit Groups hierarchy (left pane). A list of audits and filters associated with the selected audit group will be displayed. Click the Audits tab to view audits. Click the Filters tab to view filters.

  • Review the audits to be run and make any necessary changes. Add or remove desired audits by selecting them and clicking the appropriate button (Remove Selected Audit(s) or Add Selected Audit(s))
  • Click the Filter tab to review the filter settings and make any necessary changes. Filters are added and removed in the same manner as when the Audit Group is created. *Note: Any Audit and Filter settings changes for this individual Audit Group will be saved.
  • Click the Audits tab and then click the Run This Audit Group button. The Run Selected Audit Groups Wizard will open, permitting the user to select desired filters to be applied to the audit group.
  • Revise the filter list as necessary. When done, click Continue. Bills fitting the filter parameters will be audited. When the audits are complete, results will be posted to the Bills With Problem Flags folder.
  • Click Finish to close the Run Selected Audit Groups Wizard.
